New Feature: Preferred Domain for Kiosk Mode

A new installation option for the Windows Client allows you to specify the default domain for users of the individual Client instance. This is useful when not all users have the same default domain, such as when regional domains are used.

The command-line option for WorkspotClientInstall is:

Releases 3.0.2 and Up. Used with Kiosk Mode, where it is optional. Specifies the fully qualified active directory domain (, not org), to be listed first in the Client's drop-down domain list. If the preferreddomain doesn't match a domain listed in Workspot Control, it is ignored.

Bug Fixes

  • In Release 3.0.1, the same cached credentials are used for Workspot desktops/apps in different domains, forcing the users to reenter the correct ones for each session. In Release 3.0.2, this is fixed. Incorrect credentials left over from Release 3.0.1 need to be entered just once and they will be remembered indefinitely.
  • Kiosk-mode users are prompted multiple times for the same credentials.
