Workspot Client on a Windows 7 machine cannot complete registration. After the user enters email address, application quits with SSL error. Internet connection is working and web proxies are not used.
To confirm, if the user accesses https://control.workspot.com with a browser, a certificate error is shown and the root CA certificate is missing but the user has the ability to bypass.
The latest root CA certificates, including the one used by Workspot, are not in the Windows 7 certificate store and must be manually installed.
Download the GoDaddy G2 root CA certificate. On the affected Windows 7 machine using the IE browser, go to https://certs.godaddy.com/repository/gdroot-g2.crt Note that this certificate does NOT automatically import into the correct store. When installing this certificate, browse and select "Trusted root certificate" store.
